International Emergency Medicine Resources

NextGenU

NextGenU.org is the world’s first free university. For now, we concentrate our trainings (courses, certificates, residencies, etc.) primarily in the health sciences, using expert-created competencies and resources. We work in partnership with experts and professional organizations for quality assurance and endorsement, and use cutting-edge educational innovations, including computer-based learning resources, and local and international mentoring and peer-to-peer experiences.

Global Health Emergency Medicine

We are a group of emergency health care providers dedicated to improving the health of individuals in resource poor settings by the empowerment of local populations through clinical practice, education, research and advocacy.

Toronto Addis Ababa Academic Collaboration

The vision of TAAAC is to form a strong and enduring, broad academic educational collaboration between the University of Toronto (UofT) and Addis Ababa University (AAU), Ethiopia.

External Opportunities

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF)

An international medical humanitarian organization working in more than 60 countries to assist people whose lives are threatened by conflict, neglect, disease or catastrophe. Every day, MSF aid workers from around the world provide lifesaving assistance to people affected by disaster, conflict, epidemics, or exclusion from healthcare. MSF works independently of political, religious or other motivations, delivering medical aid based on human need, often in difficult geographical or political contexts, where others cannot or choose not to go.

Medical and non-medical professionals: you are invited to join us for evening presentations in various Canadian cities to learn more about how you can join MSF’s pool of dedicated aid workers.

You’ll meet experienced MSF aid workers from your area and hear their stories of life ”in the field.” Together with a member of the Human Resources Department, they will discuss MSF requirements and the application process.
