Grizzly Den

You must submit your grant proposal via the CAEP Grant Competition in order to qualify for the Grizzly Den. Submissions due by October 18, 2017.

The Grizzly Den is a highly-entertaining and educational event where you can learn about how top-notch reviewers evaluate proposals. By a consensus of the Grizzlies, the best protocol will be announced at the CAEP Research Awards Ceremony.

The top 4 runners-up from the CAEP Grant Competition (EMAF category) will be invited to compete for up to $10,000 in EMAF funding for their research project.

Eligibility: The top 4 runners-up from the CAEP Grant Competition (EMAF category) will be invited to compete for up to $10,000 in EMAF funding for their research project. Grant Competition details available here.

Scoring criteria:

  • Relevance to EM
  • Originality of study
  • Important addition to the EM literature
  • Methodologically appropriate
  • Methods well described and reproducible
  • Statistical issues
  • Feasibility to obtain results in 1 year
  • Requested funds appear to support the study
  • Overall quality of submission
  • Does the researcher have the necessary tools?
  • Recommendation
